State Profile
From the
endangered Florida panther, manatee, wood stork, and key deer to the
more-abundant herons and egrets, we are blessed with wild creatures and
wondrous places. Our many National Wildlife Refuges, including the
first one created in 1903 by Republican President Theodore Roosevelt at
Pelican Island, are among America's finest. Everglades National Park is
a unique asset that must be better protected.
The members of
the Florida Chapter of Republicans for Environmental Protection are
among the many Floridians who are working to preserve and protect the
finest of our natural treasures. We welcome other conservation-minded
Republicans to join our efforts to "green up" our state's GOP and
ensure that our blessed land and wildlife are passed on for future
generations to enjoy.
