State Profile
From
the lush mountains of North Georgia to the sandy beaches of Georgia’s
barrier islands, Georgia has much to offer and protect. Special places
in Georgia include the Chattahoochee and Oconee National Forests,
Cumberland Island National Seashore, and the Okefenokee National
Wildlife Refuge.
Georgia
is one of the fastest growing states in the country. Urban sprawl and
poor air quality caused by motor vehicles and power plants are two of
the top issues facing Georgians.
Working
together, we can conserve Georgia's natural heritage for the pleasure
and benefit of future generations.
