State Profile

Oklahoma is a land of sweeping vistas and expansive skies. In western Oklahoma, tourists can enjoy the Great Plains as they were in the pioneer days, by visiting the Rita Blanca and Black Kettle national grasslands. Eastern Oklahoma features scenic hardwoods, soft hills, and lazy rivers in the Ouachita National Forest, Winding Stair Mountain National Recreation Area, and numerous state parks. Fishermen have their choice of beautiful lakes and rivers, including the Canadian, which meanders across the state.

Working together, we can conserve Oklahoma's special natural heritage for the pleasure and benefit of future generations.
