Pennsylvania
is proud to be part of Republicans for Environmental Protection's
national network. Our chapter was chartered in 2003, and
we're
making good waves across our state. We are aggressive in promoting our conservation

philosophy!
The
Republican Party has a long and proud history of conservation
leadership.
Who
started the national forest system in the early years of the 20th
Century? Gifford Pinchot, who later went on to serve
twice as Pennsylvania's governor.
Which
former Pennsylvania Congressman was honored by several conservation
organizations for his work in protecting the Delaware River ... and was
also one of REP's "environmental heroes" in the House of
Representatives? Republican Jim Greenwood of Bucks County,
whom we're still proud to count as a member of REP 's Honorary Board.
Which
Republican members of the Pennsylvania General Assembly sponsored
anti-sprawl legislation?
Former State Senator and now Congressman Jim Gerlach, and former State
Representative Dave Steil... both REP members.
Which
member of the Pennsylvania Senate is both a REP member and an advocate
of environmentally-responsible energy efficiency? Chuck
McIlhinney.
GOP
environmentalists have both a proud past and a strong present in
Pennsylvania. Republicans for Environmental Protection intends to see
that current and future generations of Pennsylvania Republicans live up
