State Profile
From
the mighty Mississippi River to the Great Smoky Mountains, Tennessee is
an ecological wonder — the most biodiverse inland state in the United
States.
There
is lots to see and do in the Volunteer State, including Great Smoky
Mountains National Park, the Cumberland Gap, Big South Fork National
River and Recreation Area, Cherokee National Forest, Land Between the
Lakes, and numerous national wildlife refuges.
Working
together, we can conserve Tennessee's incomparable natural heritage for
the pleasure and benefit of future generations.
